During these weeks of “sheltering in place,” have you felt a longing in your heart? Perhaps a desire to feel God’s presence in your life more strongly? Do you wish you had someone with whom to talk about your spiritual desires?
Precious Blood Renewal Center now has two options that will allow you to develop your spiritual life and stay safe.
These programs are for anyone wanting to take some time for some self-assessment or who seeks guidance in the next steps in their journey.
Spiritual Direction by Zoom or Phone
Spiritual direction focuses on developing a relationship with God and growing in that relationship by entering into dialogue with God with the assistance of an experienced spiritual director. Through talks and exercises, the spiritual director helps you pay closer attention to God’s personal communication with you.
The Renewal Center spiritual directors will set up a schedule of meetings with you using the phone, Zoom or other social media platforms. Some in-person meetings may be possible.

Our Spiritual Directors
Kathy Keary, a Precious Blood Companion and spiritual director, holds a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies and is a graduate of the Atchison Benedictines Sophia Center’s Souljourners Program, an intense study of spirituality and spiritual direction. Kathy believes that the Divine is present and active in all of life and encourages others to be awakened to the God in all including the divine within. She enjoys accompanying others on their journey to wholeness discovering the person they were created to be.
Fr. Ron Will, a Precious Blood priest and spiritual director, is a graduate of Catholic Theological Union and Creighton University’s School of Christian Spirituality. Fr. Ron has a special interest in helping form intentional disciples of Jesus, encouraging others to go spiritually deep-sea diving to explore a deeper relationship with God, and walking with people as they dive into the ocean of God’s mystery actually experiencing God rather than simply dipping one’s toe into the water.
Fr. Garry Richmeier, a Precious Blood priest and spiritual director, holds a Master’s of Divinity Degree from St John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and a Master’s of Counseling Psychology degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed marriage and family therapist. Fr. Garry believes that each person is created in the image and likeness of God and is animated by the Divine breath or spirit. The spiritual journey is simply coming to awareness of this fact, which enables us to let the Divine Life and Love show forth in our lives.

We are midway through the Season of Lent. Perhaps it is time to recommit ourselves to our Ash Wednesday promises.

You and I are invited to gaze at the blessed bread and wine during Mass, or later in the tabernacle, and encounter the Son of God. Don’t pass up the opportunity. Gaze through the tabernacle door and see Jesus. This 10-minute meditation invites you into this experience.
