Retreats for RCIA Inquirers and Sponsors

Precious Blood Renewal Center has been offering retreats for RCIA Inquirers and Sponsors in November for the last couple of years. Last year Fr. Ron Will, C.PP.S., Theresa Albright, and Biagio Mazza led the one-day retreat in English, and Fr. Chuck Tobin led the Spanish retreat.

The response was so favorable that we planned three dates for 2020: Retreats in English on Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, and a retreat in Spanish on Dec. 5.

Then the pandemic hit.

We wanted to let you know that we are still planning to hold the retreats. Four presenters — Will, Albright, Mazza and Tobin — have agreed to facilitate again and have already started planning. A couple of parish RCIA leaders have even reserved the dates for their groups.

What we don’t know is the exact format the retreats will take. At this time, the Renewal Center is not open for group events; we don’t know if we will be open in November or not. Given the uncertainties we face, our presenters are planning for a combination of in-person and digital or online experiences.

We want you to know that we plan to go ahead with the retreats, and we wanted to invite you to join us. You can help us with the planning if you could let us know at your earliest convenience whether or not you are interested in joining us.
