What summertime treat can you imagine that is better than ice cream? This home-made, extra creamy ice cream with fresh fruit doubles the deliciousness. This receipe doesn’t call for ice or an ice cream machine. And with only four ingredients, it couldn’t be simpler!
Home-made Ice Cream
Makes 12 servings of ice cream.
Hint: Chill your glass or metal mixing bowl in the freezer for about 30 minutes before you whip the ingredients together.
I use raspberries for this recipe, but your fruit choices are limitless. Try strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or even pureed mango.
For another option, use mint extract instead of vanilla, dribble in a couple of drops of green food coloring, add mini chocolate chips instead of fruit, and you’ve got mint-chocolate chip ice cream! Your options are only limited by your imagination.
In the video, Lucia reads from “Prayer for Ice Cream” by Don B. Murphy. Here’s a couple quotes:
God of All Gifts and Happiness, thank You for ice cream.
… please don’t think me frivolous, Lord,
to thank you also for the cold, sweet, exquisite pleasure of ice cream!… Let me think of You, Lord of All Good Things, as this all-encompassing frigid dessert treat clears my mind of all serious concerns,
and fills me with pure exhilaration. With thanks and appreciation,
for all the good things in life,
I pray to You, my Creator and my Good God,Amen

During November, we celebrate those who have gone before us, our ancestors upon whose shoulders we stand. We celebrate the Feast of All Saints, All Souls Day, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving Day. We remember their positive influence on our lives.
An Assembling God’s Puzzle video

Using threats, shame and guilt to gain another’s cooperation is expedient but ineffective over the long-run. On the other hand, inviting someone to join us in a common work or goal, respects the other, is more constructive and more often results in substantive and long-lasting change.
