UPDATE: Effective June 8, 2022, Precious Blood Renewal Center will be suspending its requirement that visitors to the center show proof of vaccination for COVID-19. Read the updated protocols here.
Because of the continued surge in COVID-19 infections in the area, the Renewal Center has updated its safety protocols.
Effective today, all visitors to the Renewal Center will be required to show proof of vaccination to a member of the Renewal Center staff.
We continue our policy of requiring everyone to wear masks while in our buildings and to social distance.
Nearly all of our programs have online or live stream options. If anyone feels unsure about attending an in-person event, we encourage you to check out the online or live stream options.
Our aim with these measures is to protect our friends and guests who are in vulnerable situations. Please join us in praying and working for an end to this pandemic.
As a ministry of the Kansas City Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, the Renewal Center is required to follow the guidance of the Kansas City provincial council. The council issued the following statement on January 12, 2022:
At Precious Blood Center and Precious Blood Renewal Center, the health and safety of our staff and visitors is a priority. The number of infections from the Omicron variant have skyrocketed, and we need to do what we can to prevent people from getting seriously ill.
The evidence indicates that those who are fully vaccinated can still contract the virus, but the resulting symptoms are generally mild and not severe enough to warrant hospitalization. Those who are not vaccinated are at much higher risk, and make up the bulk of people needing hospitalization due to the virus.
Therefore, to be morally responsible in safeguarding the health of everyone, we will require that anyone participating in group events on the Precious Blood Center campus be fully vaccinated, as indicated by a valid proof of vaccination card. We will continue to follow CDC guidelines regarding masks and social distancing.
If for any reason we cannot determine whether or not people are vaccinated and boosted, the gathering(s) will either be canceled or shifted to a virtual format. This applies to Renewal Center gatherings and daily Mass gatherings in the chapel.
As always, any of our policies related to the Covid situation are open to change if/when the pandemic situation warrants it.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Merry Christmas! We celebrate a day of great rejoicing as we remember God’s promise to be with us always. Celebrating the birth of Jesus is more than just celebrating another year. It is rejoicing in the goodness of God and God’s promise to be with us always.
