Intentional Creativity is a dance between paint and prayer, music and meditation, pen and poetry or even prose. In this place the heart leads the hand in the silent whispering of our Muse. By reconnecting soul, purpose and desire, art is born. Your story is t old on canvas through paint and brush, through devotion and prayer.
– No previous art training or experience needed, we create from heart our story, giving form to abstract thought patterns.
– All materials provided: canvas, paint, brushes, everything needed to create art, even the tea and chocolate.
Your Muse, sometimes sweet and sometimes harsh, is beckoning. Are you brave enough to say “Yes”?
For as far back as she can remember, Elmari Van Der Westhuizen, born in South Africa and now living in Kansas City, has drawn, painted, read and written stories, and made music. After giving up corporate life, she embarked on the journey of an artist and intentional creativity teacher.
Through paint and canvas, journaling and yoga, she helps others remember their inner strength, inner wisdom and joy. Her classes work toward self-nurturing and rejuvenation.

We are midway through the Season of Lent. Perhaps it is time to recommit ourselves to our Ash Wednesday promises.

You and I are invited to gaze at the blessed bread and wine during Mass, or later in the tabernacle, and encounter the Son of God. Don’t pass up the opportunity. Gaze through the tabernacle door and see Jesus. This 10-minute meditation invites you into this experience.
