August Taizé: Mid-summer Lamentation

August 2, 2024

One form of biblical prayer is “lamentation.” Ours is a faith that can lament — lament before the face of God when our lives and the lives of others are harmed by forces beyond our control. Such lament, as the psalms teach us, is not the opposite of faithful praise but rather its partner.

Taizé for Lent: Encountering God in prayerful silence

March 8, 2023

Lent is an opportunity for the community of faith to pause and reawaken to the bounty of God’s love. As we deepen our communal and individual awareness that God deeply loves us, our awareness deepens, and so too do our relationships. This month, let us rest in God’s mercy and love.
