I invite you all from various places into our chapel here at Precious Blood Renewal Center as we begin our Lenten prayer.
The season of Lent invites us to follow Jesus more intensely with prayer and fasting.
Lent encourages each of us to retreat, and reflect in silence. Music arises out of silence and returns to silence. Silence allows the community to reflect on what it has heard and experienced, and to open its heart to the mystery celebrated.
May we use well the silence provided during this service.
Gracious God,
Through your Son, Jesus Christ,
You have taught us that we do not live on bread alone
But by your powerful Word.
At the beginning of this Holy Season of Lent
Help us to ponder our ways,
And walk in your truth.
Through Christ our Lord.
+Amen

By Fr. Timothy Armbruster, C.PP.S.
We celebrate this fourth Sunday of Advent. A reminder that Christmas is drawing even closer. There is a buzz in the air and excitement is brewing. This is where we find Elizabeth and Mary.
Scripture, science and experience tell us that we all should cultivate silence in our lives. If we know this, why do we resist it? If you want “to learn to better wait in silence,” a silent, directed retreat might be what you’re looking for.
